After what has been the strangest year ever the 2020/21 colts from Towcestrians RFC ended the season with a couple of tour games over in Gloucestershire.

Earning a 10-10 draw in the first game vs a well organised Chosen Hill RFC and a 15-7 win in a physical game vs our hosts North Cheltenham RFC the lads played extremely well and showed a lot of heart, some strong physical defence and some real go forward with the ball in hand.

Lovely way to end too with an outstanding try with the ball going through the hands and a great finish on the wing by Mason with the very last play of the game. Also some world cup winning quality celebrations to match.

A great way to end the season doing what is the most important thing of all, playing some rugby and having some fun with your mates along the way. Thanks to our hosts for putting on these games and the excellent hospitality. Congratulations to Greg McCombe for winning 'player of the tour' for his 'terminator' like ball carrying and tackling in the back row, though all the lads played very well.

From both Neil Houghton and myself (Matt 'Big Nando' Anderson) it was a great way to end our time as coaches and we both wish the colts squad for next season the best of luck in the 2021/22 season.

To the all the lads we have coached along the way, thank you! We are very proud of you and wish you all the best in what ever you do next in your future careers and further education, and we hope to see you again on the pitch for Tows in the future.
