The Tows 3rd XV are Ultimate away to Corby Stewart & Lloyds

Ultimate’s travelled to Corby for their league encounter with Stewart & Lloyds under the leadership of Daniel (Bumtrix) Bennett.

From the start the Ultimate’s were on top of S&L pushing pressure from the forwards with Bumtrix and Joe Judkins as anchors sealing in the S&L giving the home team no chance of momentum Flankers Tienan(Mole) and Bagshaw like Sleuth like panthers destroying anything that moved. Ruck and Maul from Moose Haysey Causey and the horn of the Wilson gave Tows advantage to release ball out to the backs. Gag (Penguin) Evans using the power of Chapman and Adam the farmer to make penetrating inroads into the S&L defence.

The Penguin with quick ball was able to slither through with typical penguin like manoeuvres to attain the opening try for the Ultimate’s within the first 12 minutes. Conversion was unsuccessful.

A penalty in favour of Tows was quickly taken to Alan Chapman who with speed from the Gods torpedoed through the stunned defence of S&L to add another try which the Penguin flipped over the conversion. This only led to disruption among the S&L who struggled to get back in their game.
Tows continued to use this to their advantage pushing forward Moose and Wilson ensuring forward momentum. Causey and Haysey (Stoat) causing all kind of problems for S&L.

Tiernan with Mole like power was able to increase Tows lead with a well drilled touch down which was converted.

The backs continued to Penetrate Gaz and Tim Giles Keeping the pressure Andy (Para) Eaton adding more forward runs all of a sudden in the close of the first half The Tetsi fly came alive and picked up the loose ball and in a frenzy along the touch line scores and converted by the Penguin.

The Ultimate’s at Half time were a clear 26 points to a nil score from S&L.
The second half saw S&L gathering themselves in better stead. Attacking the next 15 minutes The Ultimate’s defence was solid Craig (Cheesy) Burger like a leopard was tackling anything that moved. But S&L kept their momentum and pressure. Tows started to get complacent which cost them a well drilled converted try from S&L.Quickly after a high ball into the Tows Half bounced in favour for the S&L 10 who screamed through to score under the post and converted.Bumtrix was going Ballistic and rallied his forwards to cause devestation.Colin Reid replaced the Horn of the Wilson who went off to fodder. Tows maintain possession in S&L half and Moose on several occasions broke from scrums was held up over the try line which could have seriously increased the Ultimate’s points difference.

It was Daniel (Bumtrix) Bennett with his water hog tusk power finished off with a converted try. This gave the Ultimate’s an outstanding 33-14 win
