Another trip up the motorway to Birmingham and Solihull , and another win on the road.
The home side to our surprise were lacking numbers and could only put together 15 players but they still contributed to a great game of rugby.
The first few exchanges from both sides tested each others defence.
It took 9 minutes before Tows started to make massive inroad into the home sides twenty two. A break end with an offload to Dave Williams to score out wide by the five metre line.
Ben Roe step up for the conversion and struck the ball straight through the middle of the up rights.
With the home side on the back foot and strong run fro Rob Lees lead to George Speakman stepping his way through the defence and scoring the second. Benjamin Roe added the extras.
Rob lees for all his hard work was the next on the score sheet as a rolling maul and a break away just managing to stay in the field of play wide to our right. Unfortunately Ben roe's imperious kicking just fade to the right just missing out on the extra points.
Just before the break Towcester looked likely to score every time they attacked.
With most things going Towcesters way eveyone wanted to score and quite a few opportunities went missing.
Eventually Patrick Pope manage to keep hold of the ball and scored the final try of the half.
Changes at half time and playing down the slope change the flow of the game slightly and Tows took their foot of the gas.
The home side capitalised on this and score the first try of the half.
Woken up by this Towcester started to rally and Ben Roe Manage to score a well work try for himself.
For the rest of the half the home side defended well and had a few more attacks into Towcester half .The final points went to the home side as they decided to strike a drop goal through the posts.
A great game to watch very well refereed and well done to Towcester physio Elaine for keeping most of the home side on the pitch
