With the drain on front row players the decision to amalgamate both sides was taken opting for a pool fixture.
Market Harborough kindly excepted the fixture and a joint team from both 2nd and 3rd traveled on the Saturday.
The first 20 minutes both sides were feeling their feet and Harborough looked to be the dominant side.
As with many sides that are thrown together it takes a while to gel.
The home side with the dominance that they were showing were first on the score board after 15 minutes but unable to convert.
This sparked a bit of a wake up call for Towcester and no sooner did they get their hand on the ball they struck back with David Williams scoring out wide.
This was the first of many as now Towcester showed the difference in the level they have been playing at.
The next 60 minutes was all Towcester with scores from Adam Wilkinson (3) Ben Roe Sean Denton (3) Ben Barwell and the 3rd team captain Mike Bristow.
Although the result showed the difference in the teams Harborough never gave up and contributed the a very enjoyable game of rugby to watch.
